WHAT IS FUEL POLISHING?

Fuel polishing is a process that cleans stored fuel, removing water, sediment, and microbial contamination to ensure fuel remains clean and ready for use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What areas do you operate?
A: We have engineers that cover North & Mid Wales, Northwest UK and the West Coast of Scotland.

Q: What is fuel polishing?
A: It is the act of filtering fuel through a machine under high pressure/volume and at a finer filtering level than most OEM filters are capable of.

Q: Will polishing the fuel solve my fuel problem?
A: Yes, but only temporarily.  You will need to keep on top of your tank maintenance.  We recommend adding a biocide called Marine 16 and re-polishing your tank every 12 to 18 months.

Q: How do you access my tank and clean it?
A: We normally remove the fuel sending unit or access plate and insert a flexible probe to the bottom. We pump out the water and sludge and then circulate the fuel through our polishing machine.

Q: Will the additive affect my engine warranty?
A: No, we have been using Marine 16 for many years; it is tested and certified - it contains no harmful chemicals that could damage your engine, gaskets hoses or seals.
